3-1 to the Railwaymen with a double from Chuks (one of which will be a controversial peno) and a thumping header from Duggy to settle the nerves late on

    Tranmere 1 Bradford 1

Cue: pitch invasion ruined by over-zealous stewarding and much grumbling on here

In recent years you lot have been our bogey side and no matter how we play you generally beat us. However we are scoring goals all over the place at the moment so I am going for an entertaining 2-2 draw. Bradford to beat Tranmere 2-1 and remember while Bradford have had a mid season slump they have had some recent good results including an away win at Orient.

I really am not looking forward to Saturday; must remember to charge the mobile up before I set out!

Try as I might I can't see us winning, the only bright spot being that PNE won't park the bus but that is outweighed by them being pretty free scoring of late. From what I recall of Grayson's sides they have never been full of free flowing football, but some of them might not be fully up to stopping us if we are in full flow for fear of cards and/or injury.

Having said that I don't rate Tranmere's chances either and wouldn't be at all surprised at two home defeats. However, let's be optimistic and say a 2-2 draw at GR and a 1-1 draw at Trannie. But for god's sake I hope it doesn't turn out as late as Chester's relegation - safe at 88 minutes, down a minute later.

    COYR!

    Cheers Mate..

Now its coming back as almost everyone despaired with DG selecting Michael H as he never seemed to score and he did that day and all the players kissed him like he was the Saviour and indeed he was as it turned out.

Just a pity that although we stayed up that season on GD in the CC we got relegated the next time around when Dario did nothing to arrest the decline that took us all the way down to L2 and almost the Conference and shows that even the great managers stay too long in the job..

Its really sad that we did all that hard work to get back into L1 and Steve couldn't do anything to pump up the team on some really big home games and wouldn't need to face next Saturday as we do..

Torquay have surprised me by going to the Conference now and yet they were up with us two years ago at the top end of L2. Just shows!

Positive thoughts breed positive results and all that.
Did your mothers teach you nothing??
The negativity on here is mind-numbing.
Could the negativity be something to do with the fact that the majority of fans (those who do not travel away) have not seen their team win for three whole months?

I am going to think carefully before I predict a result on here. I keep remembering those big forwards Preston have. That does concern me.

That's because you make sense, Nev, and of course, are of a positive nature. Somerset will be pleased.

    And indeed I am.
And what's wrong with it? You should try it some time. Makes long days short!

The other reason I am confident we will stay up is because we have rightly stuck by the right man for the job.

Ok, Turner jacked it in at Shrewsbury but to replace him with a novice like Jackson was IMO a big mistake!

Carlisle, like Shrewsbury, appointed a novice manager and he has found it increasingly difficult to arrest their slide. I bet if I checked, they were in a far better position at the point they sacked Abbott!

Derry at Notts has obviously proved the exception but he probably had nothing to lose anyway taking over from yet another novice in Kiwomya.

Tranmere are in turmoil and still only have a caretaker in charge. Instability reigns. Has to be a bad thing.

    We will be fine!
