Oh dear oh dear let me try and explain to you. Portsmouth FC i.e the CLUB release 9 players. These players are deemed to have no future with us and to continue rebuilding we will strengthen in depth for the next campaign.
Conversely it seems that several of your PLAYERS and possibly your MANAGER will leave your club for bigger, better clubs that can offer more. So the situations are quite different. Ours is positive, yours will result in destroying a very good team if you lose key players.
Am i gloating at this potential damage to your club. No I am not.

What ever your allegiance, as a football fan you should be worried by having the best season ever and still be in the position of being a selling club or unofficial feeder club to the so called 'big boys', and having mounting debts (parent company irrelevant).
Only by having a billionaire owner, it is hard to see any club being able to break the top 6/7 monopoly. What happened at Pompey is very complex but in short we had one of those owners, but suddenly he upped sticks and stopped putting in the money and started to try and claw all the money back that he had put in. Clubs with owners that are 100 % benevolent are extremely rare and very lucky.
Unfortunately your owner passed away and the family have now inherited a situation they did not want. No one knows yet which way it will go, but bury your head in the sand at your peril, although in reality there is very little that you as fans can do.
I do not want to see any club in trouble and feel very positive (fingers crossed) that Pom
