Everyone's consumed with money nowadays thanks to the bigger leagues, especially the EPL.
When a good young player comes through it doesn't take long for folk to start speaking about how much he'll go down to England for.

I think the clubs in Scotland (and England for that matter) have been great at passing the responsibility for their balance sheets onto the fans. All fans seem to concern themselves with are attendances and clubs balance sheets. The fans of all clubs should just give a two fingered salute and say "you get paid the big bucks its your worry"Originally Posted by Dirty_Dingus_Magee

Peter Lawell is the absolute master at it. the amount of Celtic fans that say we can't spend money is ridiculous.

It's a good point actually. Far too much discussion about how much players earn, transfer fees, bank balances, how much tv money clubs get from progressing in competitions etc.
As you say, that's for the directors to concern themselves with. Fans should be concerning themselves with whether their teams entertaining them or not.
That's a fair point you make about Motherwell. Every time you hear McCall getting interviewed he's talking about budget cuts, but why is it always getting cut? Do you know, I was paying more to watch Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Scott McDonald up front that I was to watch Larsson and Sutton. Figure that one out.
What's the feeling about Leeann Dempster leaving?
I don't think too many fans are too bothered. She seems on the face of it to have done a good job. However the amount of whinging the club does about being skint I think most fans just accept that whoever our chief executive is we are going to be skint. So whether its LD or someone else the record never changes.Originally Posted by DannyBhoy
I wonder if shes thinking shes now made a mistake because the good money suggests Hibs will spend a minimum of two seasons in the championship.
