Sorry to catch you all by surprise here but my sympathies are with the GB on this one

Whatever I might think of the GB and their songs, I find it utterly repugnant to criminalise them for it. I find it more offensive than the words to their songs.

It could be interesting though, if they get found not guilty, Snobs Law, that's the SNP's flagship anti-bigotry law, will be the daddy of all busted flushes. Right in the run up to the referendum.

If they get found guilty, they will tout themselves as martyrs of free speech. They will be taken down singing "We Shall Overcome". They'll have their plans ready. It will be one helluva campaign to throw into the referendum mix. I'm getting the popcorn in.

i see your point sir walter, but the larger issue does not obfuscate the nature of the support they were demonstrating, for killers of the worst kind, it has no place at a football match.

You raise a good point - but if it's true, it could / should be done by a Breach of the Peace charge. For some reason the Holyrod Junta wanted
Snobs Law and Gestapo Scotland want to use it when BOTP is available to them.

    Glorifying murderers? Hmmmmm
    "religious connotations"?

There's too many very greay areas and subjectivity involved in all this methinks. Law is being brought into disrepute by enacting silly laws that are only enforced or enforceable piecemeal.
