This kinda case shows up one of the problems with the law in this country imo. Don't get me wrong I'd jail every tim just on the basis that they're a tim but people are getting sent to jail for posting comments on twitter and facebook while those who commit serious offences are getting lesser sentences.
As an example, here's an excerpt of a case from the local paper:
'Moffat, 48, appeared at court for sentencing last week, after pleading guilty to a charge of culpably and recklessly brandish a knife at her boyfriend and stabbing him on the body to his severe injury and danger to his life.
Sheriff Foran told Moffat: “Your conduct that evening caused very significant injury. I noted the complainer was intent on absolving you of as much of the responsibility as he could, but nonetheless it is an offence which merits a custodial sentence.
“In this case, as a direct alternative, I believe I can take the exceptional step of imposing a community-based disposal.”
Moffat was sentenced to 3

As far as I know they found cannabis in his flat and the facilities to produce more...also believe he has an Attempted Murder charge on his rap sheet from 2008. ...
Him and his step brother TG have a very chequered past to say the least, murder charges attempt murder, plenty violence with blades.
