The Hearts, the Hibs, the gers, and a whole bunch of class talent battling it out in what will be a nreve-racking battle for Scottish footballing supremacy.

It's going to be a stoater. That no-one can deny.

With the Premiership likely to be a bore-fest, all eyes and emotions will be on the Championship.

AFC, same could be said about going to Hamilton on a wet, cold windy Saturday afternoon in January, or a howling wind cutting across dingwall for a p*ss-poor ross county game on a Wednesday night in November.

Attendances are dropping and I predict they'll drop further next season, while Championship attendances will see a sharp increase.

The Championship is where everybody wants to be next season.

Individual club attendance are hardly dropping the total league attendance is down that's primarily attendance of the rangers , Hibs and hearts at home and the only bank balances that affects are their own.

Well nae really, the Scottish Cup isn't part of the Championship.

I remember those pinnacle days of the top flight when Rangers and Celtic finished 40 points clear of everybody and dished out 5s, 6s and 7s week in and week out. Not only that but one of them were living way out with their means which caused their subsequent liquidation. Meanwhile the rest of us were scratching around spending money on over expensive duds who barely lasted a year each while jumping for joy cause we sometimes got a precious semi final at Hampden against said Old Firm.

Yeah nowadays has nothing on the sheer joy we all felt a decade ago.
