you can't defend the indefensible mate. there's if's a but's in football. the fact however is the guy was going nowhere and the challenge was reckless. it was about as stupid as whatever he tried to do in the play off final.

I forgive him for the incident, he has done ok this year, but if someone wants to offer us a chunk of cash id say yes i think. He seems quite highly regarded amongst other clubs. I remember the burnley lot said his when deciding who theyd like to sign from the championship.

I forgave him at the time. I was disappointed such a poor error was made but it is what it is.

Your right. I don't think Keogh does have the ability of Shackell.
There again, if we still had Shackell and he'd made the same costly error at Wembley, I could picture him giving more of a shrug of the shoulders and maybe a wry smile than show the absolute devastation Keogh displayed.

That's not to say I'd rather just have a team of triers but losers. Just to make the point he made a mistake, knew it but it meant so much.

Maybe we could blame the manager for not doing something about the obvious (to some on here) poor central defender we have as our captain. Or maybe for keeping him c

Cost us though? We were already losing. If he got sent off when we were 1-0 up and went onto lose 2-1, that would of cost us.

I've been saying all season he's not good enough his heading is poor and he always makes at least one cxxk up per game that often leads to a goal against

    Cannot believe the question...

Gutted when the goal went in, and it hurt like hell to hear the qpr fans erupt... As Zamora struck the ball Wembley seemed to move in slow motion, just as it did in 94 when Paul Williams fluffed his goal line clearance...

That said been given the chance I would have proudly walked out of wembley shoulder to shoulder with Keogh with my head held high... WE WERE IN IT TOGETHER players and fans alike

If he leaves in the summer then good luck to him, but let's not forget he CAPTAINED our team through the best season we have had in recent times, and was a massive part of the free flowing attractive football we played
