PFClassof61. I've got massively elevated cholesterol. Its about 8 or so.
Does this stuff work?
I wonder if the effects are cumulative.
I had some pretty rotten side effects from statins and I refuse to take them too.

Claudmush - the OP wasn't entirely kosher - but the product does exist - and I do have to be careful about my cholesterol level (which was 10.2 a few years back)

Took statins for a few weeks until I read up on them, saw the TV program(me, just for you Bobby) and had joint pains where I never had joint pains before.

Now I manage levels by diet and exercise, 25 almonds at night and the cumulative effect of Benecol marg. I'm just the right side at the mo, but if I eat the wrong thing (like two Greggs iced ring donuts - soz, doughnuts ), I feel rough within half an hour.

I see statins have been linked with diabetes recently too!
