re: Your Lifetime Rovers Worst XI

Is there any Rovers player in living memory, that anyone can think of, that gave away more penalties than Lorenzo Amoruso?

I'm sure that every time he attempted a tackle in the box it resulted in a penalty kick for the opposition!

    A special mention to ...

Patrick Andersen 92-93 nothing special, went onto to win a European Cup for Bayern Munich.

Per Perdersen. Cost 2.5 million in 97. Did next to nothing.

Youri Djorkaeff. His 3 games for us where memorable.

Coach - Nigel Winterburn hired by Paul Ince to be defensive coach, but never came to games, or attended training...

Edit - I can't have Lars Bohienan being put in. He wasn't here long and drifted away quickly, but early on for us, he was excellent at times. Namely scoring 2 against his former side Forest in a 7-1 home win, ending their season and a half long unbeaten away record. Which he was a big part of.

    Rigger/AUcks

Just rememeber Rogers in the 70-71 season when the team were relegated to the third division for the first time.

It was a poor side in which him and Mulvaney were to my mind disinterested.

Champs, I remember going to Hvidovre in Copenhagen to see a pre season friendly and your are right Pedersen was awful. Even the Danes were taking the preverbial calling him P@ss Pedersen. He was certainly not far behind Joe Craig and Ashley Ward as complete numpties.

It was more the fact that he came in with a big rep from his time at Forest & apart from that game I can't remember a single thing he did for us. You're right though, there are more deservings, was just trying to think outside the box.

For me it was the pl winners side, all of 'em. They were insensitive enough to win it on my birthday as well, insult after injury.

Been a while, hope you're all well folks

Just think mate on the other hand you have had three birthdays with Venky's in charge at Ewood.

That more than makes up for it I am sure with their simplistic belief that you could trust agents to tell you the truth and all it needed was A£5m a season and a few loan signings then life would be good in the premier league forever.

I am sure Barry Kilby really works on that principle.

I would disagree with Eamon Rodgers, but would add John O Mara.[/quote]

    John O Mara.[/ Quite right.

Good grief there are some truly dreadful 'professionals' in all these posts
Sort of spoils my good mood engendered after looking through the 'best of' posts.

Lets keep to happy thoughts eh

Not sure Marcus Olsson deserves to be in there. He had a half-decent finish to the season and never caused any waves.
