Griezmann close to opening the scoring for France, denied by the Ecuador keeper and then off the bar. Digne lucky to get up from that challenge from Antonia Valencia, ref has sent him off. First the ball and then onto Digne's knee.

Another Pogba header, again from a Sagna's cross and he puts it wide.

Who thinks that the Argies and Messi might be more than a touch over rated at the moment ?

And I feel the same about the likes of Neymar and Brazil as well.

Take those two players out of their respective countries side and you lose a big goal threat, both are carrying their side.

Dominguez has proved to be the last line of defence for Ecuador, each chance he has faced as either been put wide or has been straight at him.

Noboa will probably feel he missed a great chance for Ecuador in the second half, but one goal wasn't going to be enough anyway after Switzerland's 3-0 win over Honduras.

The pitch has held up well despite all the rain in the hours leading up to the USA v Germany game.

The ref has so far allowed the play to flow, despite on numerous occasions where a foul has been committed, but not brought play back.
