Its the third time he's done it and he has also been in trouble for being racist.if this was any other person then they would be treated the same.if someone assaulted you three times and didn't get punished worse each time would you be ok with that?I think he is being treated better than he should and he should be grateful for that.

It's actually worse than I thought. Is there no end to this mans appetite for flesh?
Gerrard is a very lucky man.

I could be wrong then. Maradona has rushed to his defence. What better champion of fairness could you need? - view external link

I was initially unsure until I saw the bite marks, but Chiellini himself tried to use his shoulder/upper arm to strike Suarez. I believe it was a reaction to that. Chiellini is no angel and maybe if Suarez didn't react, the Italian might be the 1 with the red card/ban.

That said, 2 wrongs never equals a right. And I agree that 3x is worthy of harsher punishment.

But the final word also has to be Chiellini's (see link)

Spitting attracts a minimum of 6 matches ban, so biting's 9 is fair.

But the 4 month ban I think is a bit harsh, as it also disbars him from entering stadia.
    I think a 2 to 2.5

Punishment is supposed to be a deterrent and if someone is sanctioned for the same thing three times then it's obviously not harsh enough.

He's banned from football for a bit, so what? He's getting paid and the S American society he's closest to think he's done nothing wrong and still lord him up.
UareGay, one man wonders, got knocked out - whose fault will it be? The English press no doubt.
Possibly sacked by Liverpool? Who cares, there WILL be clubs salivating at the prospect of signing him. Pay rise Mr Nosferatu? Lovely, he'll bite your hand off.
I'd have made him unemployable by permanently banning him from football stadia worldwide.
He won't starve and ten year-olds won't think it so clever to 'do a Suey'.

Video evidence has been reviewed. How did the referee miss this?

It's actually better that the referee missed it or chose to ignore it. If for example he gave a yellow, that would be that, FIFA wouldn't be able to do anything.

Only if he saw and gave a red, could increased sanctions be meted out, a yellow and it's curtains.
