    re: Travel section

Tricky one this for me, as we are thinking of running some buses from The Bridge after the interest shown for Wembley - I reckon we could fill a bus or two for most games as we had previously done Wolves, Preston etc.

Thing is you already have quite a lot of established groups who tend to pass on spare seats as and when needed anyway.

Most matches can be covered comfortably by the Prince, Colin, New Inn, Trades and Angel buses.

While the idea of an official travel section is nice, I will tell you now that there are numerous cliques across these different groups that will not be broken! lol

Bradthemiller...I think we ought to forget it.
TFA has expressed a worthwhile opinion that there are already enough coaches and more importantly, that the mentality of the current users is such that they would not break their particular travel 'clique'.

Seems a waste of time if that's what were starting with.

    Thanks anyway.

    re: Travel section

Not many posts on here recently, just glad it had only dropped on to page 2 when I was looking for it.

Anyway, had a promo link come through from The Trainline and it looks like they've got a few offers on for next few months.

The one it showed was London, so that's what I had a look at to see if it was any good.

I didn't go through to see how long the offers are on for but certainly into September, so could be good for at least some of the early away trips.

As I said, I just looked at London, so one example could be Millwall.
(Not sure how many are fancying this one on the train though )

But you can do it for 20 GBP each way. I don't know how this compares to usual fare at moment but I imagine that is cheaper. There are some 10 GBP fares but wouldn't be any good for time you'd need to be travelling to get to/from the game.

Won't be doing any of these early ones myself, but thought it might be of help to someone.

I've done a link for the dates for London around August 23r

Ludlow. Don't give up on this one. Yes places such as Colin, Queens, Trades etc run coaches, but great idea park car and leave from and return to NYS.

Definitely worth looking into feasibility. Would be good to have away travel endorsed by club.

Went to shop today to get my away shirt. While i was paying, I asked the girl who to get in touch with regarding using car park and coaches leaving and returning. Paul Douglas Stadium manager was the answer given.

We used to have all RUSC info under the newsdesk tab at the top - tickets and travel (it's still there), but that's a few years back.

People generally make their own arrangements or just put up travel tips now and again on different threads these days.

When the club have been approached to do 'official' buses in the past they just leave it to RUSC, the official supporters club has always been independent of the football club.
