    I hope Balmoral is turned into a luxury home for immigrants, paid for by the taxpayer.

    It already is

    I'm not a royalist, but I'd suggest that the head of state should be titular only, something like Eire's, certainly **** all like America's.

    I don't understand what's meant by "Free Scotland". England doesn't rule Scotland as I understand it. As far as the royal family go, it's a great institution, something we all should be proud of. It's living history. No elected representative could serve us better than her maj has.

    We're all entitled to an opinion, truebrit. I'm a Unionist but don't feel the need to be subservient to some family in London, whose ancestors married the right people. It just doesn't sit well with me.
