We don't seem to be so generous with our 'like it's' as some sites.

I don't have any fixation over the post count. I post when I want to. If anyone has a problem with that then it remains their problem and not mine.
I've stated this before, up to the individual, the like it button is to show appreciation for a post you think merits it. It's not a race or thinking someone is going to feel left out because he/she doesn't have enough![]()
I totally agree, but clearly some other boards think differently. Are they out of step or is it us - who knows?Originally Posted by wolves71

Some other boards, as in football mad?
I use forums away from football mad, the 'like it' or 'thanks' button is used to acknowledge a link added, someone that starts a thread, ie Crewe v Wolves with match links, someone that replies and you are learning new information.
I was referring solely to Footymad in this context, as this is the site we are on. If you look at other Footymad sites then look at Sheffield United. We are nowhere near them on the 'like it' stakes. They are also, along with various other sites, well ahead of us on post count!
I also use forums away from here, but with another user. It is a great shame that people like Old Gold don't come on here any more, but choose to go elsewhere.
Sheffield United and Burnley have more active posters, hence more threads and replies. The 'post' and 'like it' counts mean nothing in my opinion. The post count only matters to those who feel it gives themselves some 'online credibility'. Any forum can have a 'quantity' of threads, but do they have 'quality'?Originally Posted by Woking88
If you click on Old Gold's username, two threads, 'this board' and 'this site' states reasons why he uses elsewhere. To be honest, it's a personal choice for any indI also use forums away from here, but with another user. I did that Gav - interesting refresher!
