how much should he bring in then? i mean us fixing him being cheaper than selling someone who no one wants, that cash is gone forget it, damage limitation and yes we are stuck with him until further notice so no kneejerk reactions are going to better the situ.Originally Posted by punkrockhammer

Blimey, Luis Suarez will be back playing sooner.
Still the good news, he will not be joining Newcastle or anyone else.
How do our medical team confuse torn ligaments requiring invasive surgery, with a sore ankle ?
Feel for him? Really?
why not? did he do it on purpose?Originally Posted by JimmyV66

Guess it all depends on if you believe the injury line or not.
The guy is a waste of space who only cares about his party life style. Just a modern Gazza.
Cant wait for the day we find someone mug enough to buy him from us.
Rodgers knew exactly what he was and that is why he shifted him right away. Kinky Kenny lost his job due to how much he paid for him and others like Downing.
mate, i have been involved in the staying

I think we should just be happy to get a fee for him. Costing us millions for very, very little return. Swansea last season was his one outstanding game and he was sent off in it!
A£80-100k a week for a guy that's unavailable for more than four months a season is not something we can afford
We tried but it's failed miserably
He will never play a full season

This whole thing about "who's fault is it?"
Just wonder sometimes how these injuries come about? Are they related to a person who's body is just not suited to the rigorous demands of top-level football?
Or are there other reasons related to a particular person who literally "downs tools" for the summer so that the minute he goes back into training his body is just not ready and hence breaks down?
I don't really know with Carroll but there are certain players that are like the Old Bill and are never 'off the job' and there are those that 'down tools' completely.

Seriously, if you watch some of the vids of him posted to his twitter account, you might draw your own conclusions.
When he moves and turns, it always looks a little uncoordinated. I can imagine how the stress he places on joints and ligaments would be greater, than somebody else, whose movements are balanced, fluid and more efficient.
