a new ground would be a massive expense if we were still in this league.i would only have a new one if we got to the prem and stayed.we cant fill this one so no need to expand.yes its dated but all it needs is a bit of a clean up and some new seats to get us through another couple of seasons.

It isn't Notts training ground sad man. It's Arnold towns site, on which you pay rent for the privilege of using.
That's right, an amateur club in the East Midlands Counties league has better facilities than your club. Yet you're proud of that?

FFS that has to be the biggest own goal of the year.

That's not right, the facilities they have are way behind ours. It's just that in order to generate some cash we already have 3 teams playing on our pitch, so have to look elsewhere for somewhere to train.

Yes and no Polish. Should we get up we have to wait. The ground could take two years to complete FFS. If there is a cash injection, then this is where I'd start spending. Straight away, because if we don't get out in the next 2-3 seasons, I believe we'll be stuck here for donkeys years.
Crowds go up, with a new ground. Derby and Leicester showed that much. Brighton -Southampton spring to mind.
Also, lets get the kids involved. 2 free tickets for every accompanying season ticket adult. School projects etc. Corner the market in Nottingham.
When that happens, we'll be secure in the support for next generation.

No need to ffs.whats the point in having a new ground of 40k when we can only get 23k average in our ground now?where are you getting the extra 18k from?yes if we get to the prem away clubs would bring more and the glory hunters will come like they did and are doing again at derby, but derby only get an average of 24k even when they have an outstanding season.more don't turn up just because of the ground its the football being played on the pitch and what's happening at the club.you even said if we don't get out in next 2-3 season we will be stuck with a 40k stadium that will just over half full!I just don't see the point in spending all that cash on a stadium that we probably won't be able to fill.

Sorry Pol, it's called speculate to accumulate.
Notts play in a 20 k stadium, with 5 k crowds. Why don't they give up and move?
Derby averaged 25k last year. It will go back up this year after the better season.

    How would we dea

We can't go on with the CG forever. Eventually we'll have to build a new one.

However at the moment, improve the team, make it competitive and have a chance at promotion.

New stadium will take around 3-4 years anyway. We can slowly start on it but focus on the team first.

And of course a new for a new ground. Sponsorship should take care of it.

Are we talking about renaming the existing ground or a complete new location ? For me the answer is no on both counts. By all means upgrade the City Ground and stay in the Trent Bridge area which to me is sacred, holy ground so to speak.

Fair comment Basil, though I'd love to hear how you'd achieve it. Given the loss of revenue, site space, tenancy agreement and the fact the Clough stand is now getting old as well.

Holy ground or not, we don't own it.
Also being of aged class, how long can you comfortably get around the ground? Do you foresee yourself in a chair open to the elements? In this day and age, it shouldn't happen.
I'll say again, MKD's was a pleasure to park my butt on a padded seat, with good back support and plenty
