    Tam is 100% spot on.

    Teams like Celtic should be straight into the groups whereas Liverpool & Chelsea (ie - 2nd & 3rd in England) should be having to qualify.

    The whole thing stinks.

    Anyway, the ban was lifted & No.5 arrived.

    The fact that various Liverpool boys were tried for manslaughter would suggest that no-one was 'murdered' at Heysel either. Complete incompetence from the authorities was compounded by a large group of violent/charging fans.

    Anyways, if you think the club should have been banned from European Football forever, that's your perogative.

    Anyway, the ban was lifted & No.5 arrived.[/quote] "anyway" , I mind watching the game on the telly with my grandfather and discussing the events as it panned out in front of us, the stadium, policing and indeed the scallies that in those days were proud to never pay in was not quite right, sadly a lot of supporters were killed, sad day
