On paper deffo a good acquisition. Now all's left is to see him in action and after 7-8 games, you'll know for sure.

At least he's incoming Tricky. Whereas your Club's most recent activity is outgoing. Maybe Mr Fawaz is trying to recoup some of the £35 million that wee Billy urinated up the wall?

when he's performing at his best, he's a real handful. I remember seeing him destroy a few premier league teams when playing for Newcastle and looked like a good premier league striker at the time.

attributes wise he's very similar to martin. old fashioned strong centre forward who can score goals.

    thumbs up from me.
He's done an impressive interview on Ramsplayer. He clearly relishes the prospect of an opportunity to resurrect a faltering career; he intimates that in the past he perhaps hasn't been as sensible as he might have been but now he has a young family he recognises the need to look after his body and do the best for his childre

    I'm happy with this.

If you take a look at most teams, they don't have a Martin type figure. We've done well to bring in someone who offers us the same presence up front that Martin does, especially considering Best must know he won't be first choice.

I like him as a player, and I love the option he gives us. For example, the opposition really won't want to have to deal with Martin AND Best, after battling Martin all afternoon.

He's also a composed finisher as well as a physical presence, so he'll be a lot more dangerous than Sammon would be, late in games.

    Excuse me?

    7 in.
3 out, not including the dead wood released, including some of the crap signed by your man
2 good out, but back in again

Exactly how is that all negative?
Also, SP claims 2 more to come in.

I don't believe you thought that one through enough Ella.

He has not played recently with a midfield that can feed him & he may turn out to be great.

I just wish someone would ask him about THAT own goal in the play off semi against Southampton. I still to this day have no idea how the laws of physics resulted in that ball hitting his foot at that angle and going in his own net.

I mean the penalty miss was pretty bad too wasn't it?

Jokes aside, better than Sammon, has goals in him (first game of last season anyone?), and has so far talked a good game. Now he needs to prove it.

Is this the best mcclaren and rush can do?

An over paid reject from a failing ex pl club that has a goal scoring record of 1 in 5!!!!!!

Really the summer signings have been shocking to say the least
