I wasn't surprised that Swift was subbed, he looked out of his depth in this game and I was so looking forward to seeing the lad having been on holiday for the last two games. Agard came on for Hall and showed exactly what we were missing today - he must start on Tuesday and we must tie him down to a new contract.
I was going to write a post (after my glass of wine) which said pretty much exactly the same as what you've said S8!

McDonald totally ran the show today, big, physical and very mobile. The guy was a different class to everyone else today!

Young Swift will have his time but everyone kn

I think it needs to be pointed out that as soon as he got the ball he had men on him, Wolves gave him and infact none of our midfield any time to look up and settle on the ball.

I thought in the first half we were pretty poor, we need to learn to retain possession better than that or some teams will take us to the cleaners. At the start of the season I had reservations about our two full backs, and whilst Skarz was outstanding (particularly in the second half), Broadfoot just isn't convincing in the slightest. 80%+ of their attacks came down our right side, and with no cover from Swift and Broadfoot's lack of comfort at RB we looked particularly weak. We need Richardson, Bradley or a loan player ASAP as far as I can see there.

Things improved in the second half without a

Yes I saw that too, they were very 'in your face' but by lightweight I meant his passes were always short and some cases were what we used to call hospital balls. Also when he took that long range shot you could tell by his action that he wasn't at all committed to the shot, almost like he didn't think he'd score and the headed pass back to Colin, it wasn't headed it just flopped off his head and almost caused a problem.

After all that the kids got obvious talent and I'm sure he'll come good for us.

I think the aggressive pressing on him from the first second unsettled him and from then on, with every forced pass that went astray his confidence took a hit. At a game where he's given more time he'd settle and work his way into the game. That being said he needs to work on his tracking back to help out his full back too because Broadfoot was far too exposed.

i have to say that we looked really nervous today as well. colin with his kicking and strange decisions, swift with his flimsy tackles, pringles passing. just felt like a really strange performance from us today given what we have seen in the past

    Some negativity around...why?

Good game..absolutely fantastic team performance coming out top against a side who had better individual players.

We could do with getting more possession of the ball but that will improve as the players acclimatise to this level.

Arni and Morgan were outstanding and had Dicko in shackles...well armlocks anyway!

Encouraging performance...As Evans says 'we are what we are'...Nobody will enjoy playing us thats for sure!

Must mention Swift...Get an arm around him...get his confidence up...these days happen...his time will come soon...Yesterday's game will keep his feet on the ground.
