Saxo will be made up if Rhodes goes, probably stoking his fatty on at the thought of it...

Well looks like it's going to go through however it's what we do with the money that counts do we need another striker or a creative midfielder and decent centre back I will go for the latter
After all we only played 4-4-2 to accommodate Rhodes
Now this isn't me saying we should get rid i really like him and without his goalscoring it will hit us hard but players come and go and if used correctly the money could be used to strengthen and help shift some dept.

If you have any ambition don't sell your best player.

On the other hand the Championship is a good league with most teams on a par and entertaining, and cheaper.

£8m? They did not show the money. Tell Mr Potatohead to get into 2014 and offer some real money.

Rhodes is the BEST player by some margin.

He is paid to score goals and has kept Rovers up two seasons running. there isn't a more effective player on the books.

Good luck to him if he goes but I wouldn't trust Bowyer to spend it wisely, if he gets it.

I do think he will go. Financially, it makes sense. He the last of the high earners. Difference was, Rhodes earnt his money. A very good pro, never moans, mostly fit. Doesnt let you down. If we hold out for £10m thats good business imo. He looks like a player who. has finally (as its not been an issue before) has his head turned. I think its best for all parties he moves on.
At no point was I ever convinced 2 up front was working for the team as a whole. We can get someone in to supply Rudi. Hes our main man now. Also we can ger a proper defender in. Personally I think we need a new keeper aswell. Bit priorities lay elsewhere.

We wont implode without Rhodes. Ive a feeling we may improve. But good luck to him.

But fkn Mrs Doubtfire is going to need to improve that offer...and stop eating cakes!!!!

Really cant see the majority of the Rhodes money ploughed back into the squad ..il be amazed if we have 2-3M to spend ..maybe open doors for free transfers/loanees with Rhodes wages out of the equation ..GB may have to unearth a few more gems like Rudi and Cairney ..but without taking on 13-15 players to find those gems ..

As for a replacement striker ? GBs brought in Varney and Brown ..surely hes to back those signings now ..?
