I must admit its a disgrace to cancel the east fife game, ranger should have enough to beat them

but you can't bring 2007/8 into this ,what Celtic did that season was another disgusting part of their history

    You actually did...

"Rangers manager Walter Smith agreed that the game should not be played.

"You cannot think of playing at a time like this," he said.

"Obviously it is a very difficult time for everybody, especially Phil O'Donnell's family."[/quote]

he had no choice but to agree, or else he would be seen as the bad guy, yet you lot didnt cancel any matches after tommy burns died - ****

Celtic went to the media before going to Rangers or the SPL. That sums them up

The yahoos' behaviour at the time was pretty disgusting, even by their own low standards.

Phil O'Donnel died tragically after the game v Dundee united on the Saturday

Celtic were so traumatised by this that they trained as usual on the Monday, there was an OF game on the Wednesday after all. What did traumatise them was their midfielder Jarasuc limping out of the training session. They had an injury and suspension cirsis in midfield, and Rangers to face 48 hours later.

So what to do? The announced to the press and anyone else that they were suspending football operations as a mark of respect to PO'D. The SPL and Rangers appeared to have no option in this. Sheffield Wednesday, PO'D's other former club played that week without being affected too much. Also playing that week were Dundee United who has just witnessed a fellow professional close to death the previous Saturday.

But the ever sporting institution that is Celtic FC were not finished yet. Their respect for PO

the conduct of rangers fc during 2007-2008 was a disgrace. blaming everyone for the season not being extended when it actually was.

saying they wouldnt want or ask for an extension when they actually did.

being to blame for the postponement of 3 of thier games and in no hurry to get the st mirren game replayed, even leaving blank midweeks without trying to organize the fixture.

failing to address the fact they were going for 4 trophies, and not being realistic enough to make provisions for replays, or even play weakened squads in diddy cup games to keep players fresh for europe and the league.

    it all backfired buns.

you were lucky to win the cis cup, and scottish cup.

you should be grateful for what you got that season.

maybe if yous hadnt ersed up the cl game at home v lyon yous wouldnt have had such a long european run anyway and would have been fresher for the title run in, and mockerys career wouldnt have had to end so blatently as being exposed for cheating to help y

Nice try crappytim. Just one wee teeny weeny wee problem. We didn't play Stenhousemuir at any time during 2007/08.

Stick to conspiracy theories up the back of your yahoo supporters bus.

And even if we did, how could a burst pipe be 'our fault' FFS, that's taking yahoo paranoia to new levels.

re: east fife v sevco diddy cup game aff.

i never said yous played stenny.

think it was east fife or east stirling but there was a game off at ibrox january that year in the cup due to problems at ibrox. who you played is irrelevant.

so if we can cut the pedantic ranting we can see that the situation did happen and isnt paranoia.

the fact yous let free midweeks pass and not get the stmirren game out of the way shown a lack of forward planning considering yous were in contention for 3 domestic trophies and also in the uefa cup.

and postponing a game v gretna was another terrible decision.

Car-crash stuff as ever reading yahoos and buns desperately squabble for moral superiority.

You're both, without question, the real Untermenschen in Scottish society (I put the Standard Grade German history reference in especially for you Timmy Walter)
