Stan, not a bad bit of clairvoyance. We have rejected your "bid" {which was to be paid in Installments} as follows: I'm pretty certain Keogh will sign a new contract. Youre a nice little Club with a great tradition. I'm sorry our players keep rejecting the chance to play for you. Can't think why.

Why sign for a team that is getting smashed week in week out. Just a short term step up, what's the point?

Losing a player is not always a minus, martin or keogh, their loss could give others a chance to shine.
Its intriguing because, if he doesn't sign a new contract and we play hardball, by the time Keogh's contract runs out, Burnley will be back in the Championship having found another CB already, so maybe he will not be in such a demand as he is now? Thus he may be more likely to sign a new contract in 12 months time, especially if we have taken their place in the premiership!!

    Its all in the timing!

You've focused on the wrong bit Ella, try this bit...'for a side that's coming straight back down'.

Can you please now tell us where Derby are going to finish this season? I'm only 3 minutes away from a William Hill's you see.

Derby had to double Bryson's wages because of Burnley interest - so obviously Keogh will have his wages DOUBLED to keep in line.

Heaven help the Rams if you don't get promoted - what a frightening wage bill you will have in the Championship with no parachute money to soften the blow.

Now your making assumptions, you know Brysons wages were doubled how?

We are a sensibly run club with a set wages structure, obviously this summer that has been used to imrpove contracts for players we want to keep, not certain we see keogh as much as a must keep as bryson though!

Generally Steve and his team seem canny negotiators its not all about the money!!

Just my view Stan. Hard work and discipline gets you so far but you also need more guile to stay up there. Don't recall seeing much flair in your side last year. Just organisation and physicality. That's why you keep wanting to shop at Derby County.
