I think you are missing the point... it was a particularly selfless act to deny himself the pleasure of watching the game, reinforcing what a stalwart he is. This was done in the cause of casting out the Jonification aura that had been following him. All to no avail as he wasn't the culprit [/quote]

At last someone with the wit and intelligence to understand my sacrifice. It must be an IoW thing.

As for the game I thought that the midfield never really got into it Wallace never got going where as he had been superb in the second half against Yeovil and Holmes for all his running kept giving the ball away and the distribution from the centre mid was to predictable.
He got thrown overboard BECAUSE he was unlucky, and bringing bad luck to the whole ship. Being swallowed by a whale, spewed up, washed up on shore, and then trotting off to Ninevah for a spot of prophesying all came later, in the meanwhile the ship he was ejected from got along fine without him.

But did the ship, he got off, get along fine? where is your evidence for this or is this just an assumption ?

FFS Corky, so not only are you a Jonah when attending home games, you are also one when ignoring them on Sky.

You're the worst type of fan. Can't you support Scum?

In the words of a well-known Liverpool forward "Why always me?"

Good point though - shall I become a Scummer for their next match agin' Nukeasshole and see if it works? Any sacrifice in a good cause and all that.

Good idea Corky. While you're at it why don't you pop over to SM to introduce yourself to your new colleagues, one of them might even lend you one of those red & white stripey tops I think they wear

Talking of Jonahs Pfc in Cumbria will be down next week watching both the Daggers and Wycombe games. Now then the last time he was at Fp Swindon beat us comfortably, Matt Richie played for the Town that evening. Carlisle 4.2 is another loss he saw, both with me admittedly
