I particularly liked this quote from the judge..."it cannot be said that he foresaw that either the deceased or anyone else for that matter might be killed when he fired the shots at the toilet door".

On what planet is she living???

Like OJ all over again, although I think in this case the evidence is even more overwhelming.
According to the BBC he may just get a suspended sentence or a fine! FFS!!! (or anything upto 15yrs) I can see suspended sentence coming up:/

I have a feeling the prosecution team will be waiting to see what sentence he gets, and if lenient, expect a retrial.

This could go on for years.

It seems that Pistorius thought it was a burglar in the toilet. And so presumably instead of taking a leak (or whatever) before they break in, in South Africa the burglars break in, then find the toilet use it then do their thieving. I find that just a little strange.

    BC
i think if we lived in south africa we would live in secure fortified areas and definately have a gun.
if the law allows it then it is for a good reason.

I smell a rat . Judge was got at methinks. How the hell can he shoot 4 times through a door and not have expected to kill someone`? Arguing with his girlfriend for hours then suddenly grabs a gun and blasts away claiming that he thought his girlfriend was still in bed. What?? Hadn't she noticed the intruder `who had crept into the bathroom? What would he go in there for anyway? A dump first before a bit of burglary ? All very fishy.

The thing I find strange is the verdict being over 2 days...I suppose she wanted to see the public reaction for the first not guilty before proceeding...and now she has chance to gauge public reaction before passing sentence next week.

I will watch with interest the upcoming trial of the British Asian accused of arranging for his wife's murder.
