I've just been through my sporting iconic photo-album and found several of me as a lad with Pompey legends like Harris, Dickinson and ole 'Thunderboots' himself.

I've selected this photo which was the occasion of my presentation of the 'Lad of the Match' award by 'Uncle Jimmy'. This was at Fratton Park in 1961. Looking at the record of this proud moment still sends a shiver down my spine and a tear to my eye.
