    How's this for Saturday's bench?

Jussi, O'Brien, Tomka, Jarvis, Zarate, Cole, Nolan, Carroll.

Hang on, that's eight. Who shouldn't make the bench?

I guess Zarate is not still injured ? Otherwise, lose Jarvis.

You're on a purple patch and we are diabolical. You have the sign over us (as always) and we couldn't really wish for a worst case scenario for a desperate need of a win.
BUT and yes it is a big but (no pun intended Karen Brady), you do have a tendency to flout the laws of probability.
    2-0 to The Villa.

Thanks heavens, this is not another HamsterCheeks out thread...everywhere I turn,I am assailed by a stampede of outraged peeps,
clamouring to remove his silhouette from the match-day program.

And I'm not going to comment on the poster who suggested that gum chewing, eschewed
the comparison of a field of jersey cattle chewing the cud. Or to be accurate regurgitated grass.

So staying far away from this childlike foolishness and acknowledging Taans for not dwelling on the local amenities of Aston in Birmingham, in his excellent introduction.

I would like to be the first to predict a 4-0 home win.I feel that 5-0 is too unlikely and 3-0 too low, with the greatest respect to Aston Villa.

...obviously,I have hedged the bet with an alternative 3-2 because...I know what we're like

The boy Taans' is on a roll. I do hope it is not a bridge too far for the lad. On paper, this is a game we should win. We are therefore bound to lose it...

Not with the current squad development. The gimp has organised the team and at season end will be afforded his due reward.

He will replace the wimp as England manager. The gimp replaces the wimp.I like it.Everyone's a winner'

Nice high tempo game like the Liverpool and city ones please. Complacency could be our enemy in this game. I am suffering from the usual West Ham fan feelings...A little bit of confidence wrapped in a coat of trepidation.

It's my birthday on Saturday so come on you Irons, let me get p.issed sat night in a happy mood!!!

Thats the thing I mentioned on another thread...If we were Man Utd or Chelsea fans we would be saying this is a shoe in but our DNA is West Ham so you always know we will screw up what shoudl be a home banker.

I am more nervous about this one than about the Man City one to be honest

However...2-0 West Ham...got to be positive
