Great in 2 spells for you. Batts was class for us, in his best days I wouldn't see him give the ball away...for several games at a time.

Palmer was one of a kind, he was actually decent. Once scored a brill o.g in a league cup semi at Ewood vrs Sheff Wed (in the season after the one your talking about above) when we got battered 4-2 ...Paul Warhurst got a hat-trick!!!

Great in 2 spells for you. Batts was class for us, in his best days I wouldn't see him give the ball away...for several games at a time.

We've had a fair few with these over the years.
2 stick out for me. The Boxing Day 92/93 game. 3-1 Shearer scored 2. But suffered his cruiciate ligament damage in the game, carried on and scored though! They were Champions. Brilliant atmosphere that day, standing behind both goals!!

3-3 away at Elland Rd. 93/94 season. Huge crowd, we had gone 3-1 ahead (yes Saxo...we even let 2 goals slip when we where good!) with Shearer getting a brilliant hat-trick. Then they scored 2 in the last few minutes, Gary McAllister got the equaliser! I was scared leaving Elland Road that day, and we hadn't even won!!
