does it matter if ireland were lucky v germany, we were lucky v poland in the 2nd half, they could easily have beat us, did you forget that.

all scotland did on friday was win a home fixture like were meant to if we want to qualify. ireland have 4 out of thier next 5 games at home and will be different opposition to the team we played on friday.
If it was anybody else other than the paddies you wouldn't be so quick to blow smoke up their @rse.

Poland went tae Georgia and ****ed them 4-0. The paddies went there and could easily have lost but won with a last minute goal. They got a draw in Germany, again thanks to a last minute goal. They came to Scotland and played for a point but left with phuck all. What exactly is it about them that so impresses you?

so ireland only beat georgia with a last minute goal did they.

scotland only beat georgia at home 1-0 with an og ya dafty.

and since when did last minute goals no count.

just think if scotland had got a last minute goal v germany we would have got a point too.

    but we didny. ireland did.

Scotland were good against Georgia and deserved our three points. I'll ask again - what is it about the paddies that so impresses you? They are hardly Barcelona with Messi at the top of his game.

Ireland are generally a resilient and robust team.

Their results to date have backed that up.

Scotland have the past decade and a half have been a poorer version of them, with the exception of a purple patch around 06/07.

However, during this qualifying campaign, Scotland have shown a superior level of attacking football in spells of matches.

We are on the right road, whereas the Irish are possibly stagnating.

re: O'Neil comments on Ireland's performance

Ireland were poor and got exactly what they deserved on Friday. Scotland were the only team that looked like winning and on that performance Scotland have nothing to fear in Dublin.

And the pressure will likely be on Ireland to get the win dublin in which case Scotland should be able to hit them on the break.

On the downside Poland DO seem to be getting some good results. And despite Germany's poor performances they probably still have enough in the tank to qualify.

Poland and Germany to qualify with Scotland getting a playoff and Ireland nowhere methinks

so theres no point in playing the rest of the group then, most of you have it done and dusted.

ireland despite having 2 better results than scotland were just lucky while scotland are brilliant according to some.
