Pitch side from Boro... Omar not a great first half. Forsyth and Martin shocking.
Jeff should come off and Will on.

Thank god no Eustace to bring on...

you must be taking the **** angry?

omar was absolutely shocking. his passing was awful. lost the ball that led to grant's world class save in the first half.

oh yes, and caught out of possession again for their first goal!

people on this board are starting to wake up to the fact that ella and myself were right about him all along. he's at fault for goals almost every week because of his poor positional play.

we also pointed out that we'd see how well he handles the cold whether!

don't get me wrong there were plenty of players as bad today but cumulatively he is costing us.

Oh do shut up you boring ****.. I said Omar was poor first half. The first goal was from Keogh's mistake. Change the ****ing record.

At least ive got the bollx to say he was poor.. So if Eustace would have played all would have been rosy in the garden, we would have played expansive attacking po

I think a wise man once said people resort to foul language and abuse when they're losing an argument...so not sure whether you're being serious or not :-/

    re: Eustace back today?

I personally think Omar plays generally to far advanced for a DM. Too many times, he ends up on the halfway line having to make the tackle because of his position with such a gap to our CBs. When he misses, we are really exposed.

I think he's a really talented lad but didn't play the role we needed today. And not just today.
We seemed to want to dictate today rather than invite Boro on and hit them on the counter.
Not looking to single Omar out as he was just one individual in an overall poor performance.

However this thread is regarding the DM spot and in that regard, his positioning does worry me.

I'm not convinced that Eustace would do a better job or that our results would have been that different if he played instead of Omar, however he was amongst other players very poor.

Does he look good when the teams playing well, or is he exposed when the team plays crap? Forsyth, Christie, Shotton, hendrick and Keogh were all guilty of misplaced passes, everyone except Bryson got caught in possession.

On balance I think Eustace is needed in these games, though I can see that McClaren wants a player who like Thorne can set up play with accurate passing.

fair enough. I thought all the Eustace omar stuff was all friendly banter, I didn't realise you were getting all worked up - then comes a load of abuse, no need for it really. I'm not into grown men calling each others on an internet forum. it's easy to be a keyboard warrior so we'll leave it at that.

I thought we were just havin a laugh. I'll stay out of your way from now on.
