    To answer your question, no it's not poisonous
    I should imagine there's not a lot of taste to it though, I've never even thought of eating it raw tbh but it is one of my favourite (boiled /steamed) vegetables

    An hotel I visit monthly (an client to be fair) has an chef who makes his own vegetable crisps and they are ****ing geet ace. I of an particular fondness for his parsnip ones to be honest.
