agree with swale Eustace was giving it away or hoofing it and even though unlucky for first yellow and mcgoldrick was very poor in jumping up like that . he had no reason to tackle there he wasn't going to score from there

    I Disagree.

Think it's lazy journalism to say he's lightweight. He is maybe less aggressive than Eustace, and not as defensively astute, but he's not a push-over.

It will really depend which Forest turn up. If they are as lack lustre as recently then it should be us on the front foot and Omar's strengths will come into play.

Maybe we'll throw a surprise and start with Bent and Martin in a 4-4-2, and not have a dCM[/quote]

I think you are right and will go 442 with Martin and Bent up front.

Don't think he would do it but have Ward and Russell wide and Bryson and huges in the middle. Would that put them on the back foot?

    yup.

i hope i don't bore you all (yeah right) but Eustace has been magnificent since he came back into the side. breaking up play constantly. not letting the opposition get into a rhythm.

we're much more solid with him in the side. said it beforehand and surely there can be no doubt about it now.

i just hope that forest aren't able to exploit the lack of protection that omar provides to the back 4 on Saturday.

in what i expect could be a physical game I'd have been much more comfortable with Eustace in there.

Well we will see, we didin't do so shabbily before without Eustace and he was out of position a number of times and his yellow cards came from him being done for pace in midfield, which I'm pretty sure Mascarell wouldn't have been. he also misplaced half a doze

Eustace is not pretty to watch but he does his job for the team.

When Clough was in charge and there was debate of who we should sign I shouted out for The Eust! Yes, he was a couple if years older than when we first tried but he's got the know how and physicality we need in this team. We got Thorne as a better replacement but you know the story here.

You don't necessarily have to be big physically, Makalele was slight, but boy was he tenacious. Omar is the best back up we've got in that position and his performances to date are mixed and I think it's down to how teams set themselves up in midfield...do Forest have the midfield to really worry us?

Who will be in their midfield? Lansbury...Vaughan...Tesche...Osbourne? Burke maybe? IMO even without The Eust we have too much in midfield for Forest.

Nullify Antonio and you've almost got the perfect tactical move. Antonio had Shottens pants down last time which didn't go unnoticed...Christie is no slouch so we will deal with this better

I like Mascarell but he's not a CDM. With Eustace's discipline & awareness we have a much better shape and it shows in the team performance. I would go with Shotton, or maybe Coutts in there against Forest, probably the former because of his game time.
