Our season is far from over, we're sat third in the PL having played the perceived big boys. You've told us Liverpool will finish above us, but there's still a fourth spot up for grabs.

The possibility of us achieving CL football is making you increasingly uncomfortable. You all laughed at the mere suggestion of it last year. I see the poisoned dwarf no longer finds it funny.

I wouldn't say uncomfortable but I'm certainly intrigued. 12 months ago none of us could have perceived how utterly awful Man Utd and Liverpool could have become, despite heavy spending. I'd expect the Mancs to spend again in the next week. They may well buy themselves to a position above you and Arsenal have found form again. Top 4 will be tough but you have a chance.

Perhaps more of a concern would be that Pardew seemed to unpick your system on Saturday. Maybe that was a personnel issue as much as anything, but I'm sure others will have taken note.

As for our season being over, well we've got a relegation scrap now haven't we???
