Given the depth of the squad and opposition tactics to combat our normal game we need 2 or 3 variations, trying new players/formations in an FA Cup match shows the league as more important. Anyone saying Chesterfield could have had 3 goals is correct but we could have had 6!

No he is not losing it. Trying new stuff in an unimportant game is good to see. He said post match we won't win Cup so its experiment time.
We learnt Bent is useful playing up front looking for that through ball.
Martin can do a deeper role.
Keogh is uncomfortable in a back 3
    Albentosa looks OK
    Hendrick is better without Bryson
Roos is OK as backup now.
Mascarell is good when he's not pressed but panick a bit if he is.
    Our wing backs aren't wingbacks!

Good info for a sharp coach!!

Definately, a very clever coach. We are still competing at the top, and have made some good additions for the remainder of the season. For the first time in a long time I'm looking forward to every game.

Only thing I'd like to see, is dropping both Hendrick and Bryson, and seeing Hughes on his own in the middle, with Thorne / Mascerall behing in defensive mid, allowing Bent and Martin to take the front role as a partnership. Maybe this could be an attacking change should we be needing a goal with 20 to go?
