If you knew what a matchday experience entailed then you wouldn't have said that.

It's actually quite easy when you think about it. Why don't you google "line of sight" or similar and absorb some of the information. Then, and I know it's a mahoosive ask for you, actually GO TO A GAME and see if you can notice things in front of you or immediately to the side of you whilst focusing on the pitch; especially at a place like Portman Road where the view is good.

Actually don't. Tarquin's world is way too amusing, especially when "predictions" are made.

Agreed. Each to his own fair enough. When I am at the match I am too busy giving the lungs a bit of exercise to worry about anything else. Come to think about it, even when we are on the telly its not much different. The neighbours think they have a nutter living nearby. They are not wrong.

Quite like a day at the races, Goodwood being my favourite. Then I will go through the card. By doing my homework on form etc have done ok once or twice.

Went into a betting shop in Newquay on a stag weekend a few years ago, with a group of friends, first time in my life and probably the last, I've never placed a bet or gambled at all.

I'm not against it, just never appealed to me.

Lottery and Grand National are my only regular gambles. Very occasionally have a go at something else but very rare and never on line.

I'd say everybody has a different matchday experience. I've never felt the need to drink heavily before a game (apart from away games in London when I lived there, I have pretty much always driven to games). It was never about meeting up with friends for me (my friends all support different clubs), it was about supporting my team. Not getting lashed or having a bet.

Sorry if that 'experience' is the wrong one.

Edit - Predictions? How were West Brom doing??? Could've sworn they signed up Pulis to fight that relegation scrap.

    Likewise, each to their own.

As a nipper, I once took a Cashpot of £100 out of a fruit machine but, rather than get hooked, I stepped away and haven't played one since.

Might also explain why I've no inclination to indulge in online betting or play the snazzy casino games that we seem to be bombarded with these days.

Err, do you like making yourself look stupid? You said they would be the easiest home game of the season. We laughed! They are not bottom. So what's your point? Or are you just making things up as you go along again?

I did say 'one of the easiest', but whatever.

How are the wedding plans going?

Quite often I feel that the game gets in the way of the pub.
