I'm up for that challenge. I've had one for 39 consecutive seasons including this one. Seen Derby at around 80 away grounds, some many times over and seen us abroad 3 times.

I would say that is 'close'.

I've had my season ticket from 6 years earlier than you have had yours, although I haven't been to as many as your total "in excess of 2,000" games. Fortunately I don't know you, as I think I would have remembered such a bull ****ting fantasist!

Well I've been to far in excess of 2000 games and had a season ticket for 28 of the last 33 years I would challenge anyone to be close to that ... If they can I probably know them as there weren't many about "when we were crap" as some put it
That's incredible Rattea well over 2000 games in 33 years that's 60 games a season and you've not been to home games since Sams been CEO, you are also away abroad often. Who have you been watching. Also interesting where you say "WHEN we were crap" surely you're not admitting were NOT crap now!
I see Rats maths are as good as his FACTS! Mind you I might be a little harsh, its probably just his memory thats ropey!
You know those questions you get that you think are really hard and some people just jump in and assume things and get them wrong that in reality are really simple ... gue

re: Season tickets

Throughout the late 80s onwards till 2 years ago I had a season ticket for all but. 2 or 3 seasons. When I was younger I would skip school on a weds morning as I was too knackered having been to an away game with my uncles the Tuesday night

For the last 2 years I've been a lot less. ( still attend 8 or so home games a season) but I've got a 2 year old son who is football mad and will be a regular at pride park with me again as soon as we feel he is old enough

Does this make me any less a fan? The fact remains I was there when we were ****

Anyway that's my story and my point is don't judge others before hearing there story

Does my nut in when people go on about the number of games they go to versus others.

I remember Talk Sport going on about this Everton fan who hadn't missed a first team or reserve team game (friendly and competitive) in over 20 years - home or away. They were saying what a great fans he was, how loyal etc.

I just thought he needs to get out more, bit sad to be honest. But loyalty is never an issue with football IMO, we do what suits us, not what suits the clubs we support. We go for our benefit because we want to, not out of obligation to the club or the team.

My father-in-law is in his 70's, calls himself a lifelong Derby fan - never been to a game of football in his life, and has never wanted to. Listens to the matches on the radio, watches them on the TV - has bought a S/T for one of his stepsons, bought stuff from the club shops over the years for himself and as presents for the rest of the family. He's happy doing that, someone else is happy going home and away. The idea of l

re: Season tickets

I too watched when we were poor, very poor. My first game was 81-82 season.

I saw Gemmill, Hector & George though sadly not in their prime.

We dropped out of the old Div 2 and in to Div 3 for only second time in history but I kept going cus by that time DCFC was in my blood.

I've been down up and down the country to watch Derby but now as my suggests live in the Isle of Man now which makes things somewhat more difficult.

Aside of any of the above this makes me no more or no less a fan. Some people can't make games logistically, some due to finance and some to family/work commitments though given the choice would probably be there every week.

Ratty you have this thing about owning people, quoting comedy gold and insulting people of a supposedly lesser intellect.

I would of thought it a mods job to mediate to a certain degree though you just seem intent on ruffling feathers, attempting to make people feel inferior or stupid or just owning them!!!

As you have pointed out to me

I starting going the season after I think, a couple of months before Peter Taylor arrived. My God we were crap back then!!

But in those first two years I saw;

- the legend that was Mick Brolly
- I saw Archie Gemmill in his second spell score that cracking free kick against Forest on the BBG mud bath in the FA Cup 3rd round, Clough v Taylor
- I also had to witness Kenny Burns and John Robertson pretending to be Derby players, which wasn't great
- I saw Bobby Davidsons first goals at Derby - but they were for Halifax Town in the league cup a few months before we signed him
- I witnessed the Great Escape under Taylor with the infamous pitch invasion at h
