The fact that their Governments don't help their people is due to European powers educating those Africans who can be relied on to deliver Africa's mineral resources to the West at knock down prices. Government aid goes to build roads and airports, anything that facilitates a quicker transfer including rewarding the African elite. Starvation didn't exist there, because tribal Africans were migratory and used to follow seasonal weather patterns just like African wildlife does. Only when the Europeans arrived and competing colonial powers drew lines across the map did migration stop and starvation begin.

What a complete and utter load of tosh, their Governments don't help their own people because they are all on the take filling their own pockets. They don't care about their people. I know I worked out there for years. Once when I landed at Lagos airport because my visa was out of date

Well I don't think relying on ostrich eggs is a good idea as you now have western charities like comic relief digging wells, far better.

You are right Mugabe is like a lot of other African dictators in that he is a murdering tyrant.

Lets face it the continent is in a right mess what with now Boko Haram killing people and schoolchildren just because they follow a different religion.

Witches hunting albino children to cut of their limbs while they are still alive for the purpose of making their magic potions (I could put a link up but it is too horrific and heinous)

A while back I stopped all my payments to charities bar the British Legion's annual payment of £17 which makes me a member of the "Riders Association"

I have saved quite a bit of money
