Very commendable sentiments but I wonder how many people will show up to enjoy watching Kevin Holt in a meaningless game against Dumbarton compared with in a play-off game against Rangers?
A lot of our fans, and maybe even the Board, don't seem to get the fact that not everybody wants to go and watch a game for the sake of watching a game. Or watch good players for the sake of enjoying that in itself. They can do that with tv games. There needs to be meaning or goal to paying to watch a live match. I am convinced that a lot of people in Dumfries don't go because they perceive a lack of ambition.
Letting a striker go to your biggest rivals for the last remaining play off place and not replacing him just reinforces that view amongst the non-committed fans.

yes correct bluehome the guys i used to go along with dont go anymore ,there excuse is queens dont want to go up and are happy to jaunt around in the championship ,which makes me quite angry ,what queens need is people coming out in the press bumming queens up talking about ambition .

I think if we had maintained our 4 point advantage after Tuesday I would have said yes but the sequencing of the forthcoming fixtures is against us and it is therefore a no from me.

That said we still have a decent chance but I think thst we need to take a minmum of 3 points from next 3 games. Bearing in mind hat Falkirk have Cowden at home shorly.

They did not play well on Tuesday and were by all accounts lucky to get the win so it is not by an means a forgone conclusion that they will beat the likes of Livvy and Dumbarton away.

Clearly i think we will need to beat Falkirk at home - lets be honest we are due to get the better of Falkirk in one of these tussles - too often we allow them to grind it out against us.

Having battled so hard to get into this position Tuesdays insipid performance was really hard to take and the players need to re-group and believe that they are good enough to secure 4th. I believe that we are a better team than Falkirk but our away form is a worry.

To say Queens lack ambition or don't won't to go up is laughable .

I'm sure if any board member is reading this they'll feel quite hurt by your comments . It was only 4 years ago the Save our South has up and running and look at us now .

Do you honestly think they'd stay full time if they didn't want to go up ?

84 yards you miss the point ,itys not me thats saying thay have no ambition its the majority of the so called floating fans opinions ,what thay need to see happening is people from queens boasting on the newspappers of how good thay are and bumming up queens alot more ,we need a chairman to come out and publicly declare he wants queens in the bigtime ,these floating fans need to hear these things .

As Jardi implied, we should be grateful for what we have.

Anyone, anywhere, who thinks Queens lack ambition is completely ignoring the facts and just using that as an excuse for their inertia.

If we had lacked ambition we would still be languishing in the Division below, or worse.

When we were relegated that could easily have happened but instead the Board took the bold decision to remain full-time, keep the decent players from that squad and took the gamble of appointing an untried young Manager.

The rest, as they say, is history !

Since promotion, they have not just been content with survival and consolidation but shown a real desire to challenge at the top-end of the table - that is not easy for a newly promoted team.

If those decisions had not been taken it could easily have been some time before we returned to Championship level and as a Club would have missed out on the financial benefits of having Hearts, Hibs and Rangers in the same Division.

    Look at Ayr and Dunfermline,

I agree Nithvalley - some of the potential Dumfries supporters use any old excuse to avoid coming along to support th team.

Th reality is that for the most part this seaon we have competed admirably with clubs that have budgets that we can only dream off.

Despite this huge handicap we have a squad that is packed with quality and is not that far behind Hibs and Rangers in terms of underlying ability. I am at a loss to know why potential supporters from the town continue to stay away in their droves and criticise from the comfort of their armchair. It is of course their preogative to do that but if we lose out on play off spot I dont think it is down to a lack of ambition.

I think that the Board and Management team over estimated the mpact of our returning injured players at the time of Baird and Kerr's departure. Reality is that all of the injured players are not remotely close to theiir former levels of performance. That may still come but at this point othrs have a stronger claim f

Sorry but allowing 2 players leave to join your direct rivals shows a clear lack of ambition. There were plenty of strikers available for Queens to bring in during the 'window' and nothing transpired. Since then Gavin has been injured, Del has been banned, and now Beany is injured. Not sure that is laughable or anything to do with respect, it's just an opinion and one I agree with.

Think the effect of Kerr and Baird has been well overrated. Look at the results since they left in the league. The two results you would say were dissapointing were Dumbarton and Raith Rovers on Tuesday. All other results either expected or good results. We have plenty options in midfield and Baird wasnt even getting a regular game. The team we are supposed to have strengthened could only manage a draw at home against us with 10 men for most of the game. Lets see who is the better side when they visit with there full compliment and decent weather.
