Weve got some good players but we also have a clueless manager
Thought Inman for Uche was a good substitution, and in plenty of time (15mins), but do agree that Haber should have been on earlier. We never really looked like breaking their defence down, but at least the subs had a go.

Also thought that Turton had a g

Can not blame SD this time he tried 6 forwards to break the Deadlock, and why supporters go on about SD not bringing on subs quick enough ok! but he does bring them on!! maybe they forget the last Manager NEVER brought them on at all until the 89th min or when the opposition scored, and then it was to late.

I thought that we were too slow with our attacks, giving them time to get bodies behind the ball. Our usual failing reappeared in that when Plan A doesn't work, we can't see it. Uche was losing out every time but kept trying the same thing and it kept on failing.
I disagree with AL about Atkinson. He had a decent game as a defensive midfielder and made a superb block in the first half when they had a good chance.
We don't seem to be having a 'run of the ball' at the moment. As with the Oldham game, the visitors seemed to get every loose ball falling their way. Fortunately, unlike Oldham, nothing fell to them in our box & in front of goal.

Yeah 10th of season and second suspension, so 2 games. In fairness he's been on the edge of it for weeks - last booking 6 weeks ago!

When was Granty's 9th? Is this why he has been off form for the past few weeks?

I thought that the midfield of Atkinson Grant and Ness looked pretty assured, and as good as I've seen all season. The conditions though were terrible, the pitch is a disgrace, and played a large part in holding back our front three, parts of it are like a quagmire. We had better hope its pretty dry for the rest of the week.

agree with most of the comments on the game, Disagree with comment about the ref I thought he was one of the best we have had this year at Gresty Road.
I felt the terrible condition of the pitch near to the main stand contributed to the poor game , players struggled to get a decent foothold or were unable to turn properly. Agree that only one shot in 90 mins is very poor. Agree that our goalkeeper is improving in each game but he's no were near the standard of Ben. Thought the midfield did a reasonable job but the forwards were poor and Josie needed the ball sliding through on the floor for him to run at goal with all to often the midfield failed to spot his little runs.

Agree about the conditions it certainly didn't help the strikers, but it didn't take a genius to see that they're gameplan of limiting space in the box made 3 strikers pointless. We needed to make the change to 442 with wingers and two big strikers much sooner and start getting crosses into the box.
