Interesting piece in the Sun on Sunday today by Harry Redknap saying McLaren would be stupid to leave a club like Derby for the uncertainty of Newcastle As for Bucko im sure he would have done more than just throw tea in an argument On a personal level im not bothered whether he goes or not managers like players come and go only fans who stay

To be fair, he's not going to do that because he is obviously not going to close a door...just in case. No manager would. He has scars from football and it's a short career.
He only has to say I'm Derby manager until Derby decide otherwise. He hasn't because he is going. He could of closed it down weeks ago but chose not to.

There is no need to have a go at other fans (not you Ella) because they can see the wood for the trees.
What wood and what trees??? Its all rumour an speculation, nothigng to see at all and a number have posted ******** about a "senior staff member" or I heard down the pub.

Just amazed that fans read so much into something that is pure media speculation - why should Mac say anyt

But Swale that's all you ever post your opinion and speculation. If the speculation suits what you want it's great information. If it doesn't then it's just talk and rubbish. There is no constancy with you and never any substance to back anything up.

There is about as much in this story as there is in anything you usually post.

Why would Newcastle want Rush? To the layman on here some poxy award for basically self promoting himself. But in reality in the business world what has he done. Not real notable points in the transfer market, turnover up but so are running costs nullifying this as puts you in a poorer position should the turnover decline back.

This is people thinking the same will happen as did with Glick and not understanding why. Glick took a club in free fall. Restructured and rebuilt it by cutting back but spending where nessary and bring stability to the un on and off the field. That's something that nearly every club before has failed to do. Look at the likes of Por

Just a couple of points for clarification.

Have Newcastle Utd officially confirmed any approach or indicated any interest at all in Sam Rush & McClaren? Didn't think so...

Has Sam Rush confirmed the above? Yes on more than one occasion.

Steve McClaren did say that he had not been approached, and didn't understand the basis of the story other than media speculation.

Maybe the bloke down the pub knows best though???
