Not much support for the original post, but I agree with steelydon to some extent.

I think it's interesting that the two loan players to make the biggest impact (Tate & Ajose) are the ones with the most league experience, including some at a higher level.

Unless you can get a young player as good as Chuks on loan, who clearly adds quality we don't possess to the team, then I just see a lot of our young players being denied experience for a minimal short-term improvement in the ability of the team.

We're enhancing the sale value of other teams' assets rather than our own.

I don't think we should abandon loans entirely, of course not - especially if we can pick up some experienced players, which our squad clearly lacks; but I think there's some merit in questioning the use of other team's inexperienced players as opposed to our own Academy players and signings from lower leagues, which runs contrary to the core values and business model of the club.
