This is one phrase I struggle with - moreso in semi-finals than finals, but the concept that Hampden is a venue is somehow 'special' is strange.

It's a soulless bowl, too shallow, many of the fans too far from the pitch and the surrounding area is a toilet.
I agree with your point about hampden but the fact is its our national stadium and I think both clubs will want it played there
They should build a new stadium in Edinburgh but the gfa won't allow that
I can see merit in both. Yes there's the prestige of playing the Cup Final in the national stadium but both clu

I think there will be a decent enough attendance at the final, maybe 30,000 or so.

It's incredible how many people can be enticed out of the woodwork for these occasions.

Only slight worry is Inverness only took around 7,000 to the LC final last season - but maybe they'll find a few more for this one.

best wishes to both teams, genuinely hope it is a braw day out...Hampden is one of our "national" disgraces...the folk at the SFA and the planner that approved thon "views" are not on the ball :-(

Been to the Millennium many times...different mustard for a national stadium...as is Murrayfield.

Abergreen fans have no shame , the final deserves to be at Hampden , lets remember Abergreen dont exactly have a massive fan base either.

    No-one deserves that soulless midden.

Easter Road, Tynecastle or even Parkhead are nicer venues.

What about the 44,000 that were at the Skol Cup final last year?

Plus me, who wasn't there. 44,001.

Meanwhile, 'Five Star' Ibroke struggles to get five figure crowds.

It would be good to have an atmosphere in Pittodrie for probably the first time ever. :/

There's more atmosphere in space than at the ground of whichever team you support.

That will be a meaningless end of season bottom six dead rubber two-***dred miles away during the insipid latter Craig Brown era.

Even Barry Hearn couldn't have sold that one...
