We need two overlapping full backs who deliver telling passes and crosses. What we had at the end of the season was a lack of movement and pace, and hence we were too predictable.

I see Bent as a super sub and back up to Martin. I'd like to see Ince playing more centrally linking up with Martin as a part of a front two. Of course I'm assuming we w

I disagree, yes a striker who has more than one aspect to his game is useful, but a guaranteed 20 goals a season guy is not a bad part of the team - its more old school to expect your striker to be back defending when he should be lurking on the half way line to take advantage of any break away!

I suppose you could compare Bent to somebody like Conner S, £1.2 million to buy, probably half a million ish a year on wages puts in the effort but is lacking in the main thing that strikers need, an ability to score goals.

I'm not saying Bent is worth braking the bank for if his wages are sky high, but strikers get paid primarily to score goals, and that's what Bent does.
