re: Carlton Palmer blasts "strange" appointment

Met Carlton up Sheffield last summer and managed to have a chat with him - I couldn't get away from him

I can see what he's trying to say, but lets not write the bloke off before he's got his foot in the door.

As for Katch's concern about the 'alleged' racist incident, Carlton spoke out ( wrongly in my opinion) last year about how it's just 'banter' and that people should 'grow up and accept it'...hardly sounds like a bloke that's going to report a racist incident to the police eh? - view external link

Thats fair enough Aussie, I dont know how he played for your lot. But as an England fan I thought he was awful in what was the really awful Taylor-era.

Different story Rov. This is when Palmer was commentating in 2014 and Radio Sheffield/the Star reported his comments about the racist language he'd witnessed in the crowd - which weren't aimed at him but presumably at some of the players.

Just wondered what happened. Though my curiosity seems to have been met with a couple of mardy reactions on this thread.

    What a pathetic reply!

You're just doing what you normally do...Moving the goal posts...You always have to bring nastiness into a thread..You just can't help yourself.

Most of you Pigs are the same..Just reading your board sometimes makes we wanna puke.
You're either massively jealous of us or have a complex the size of Sheffield...Or maybe a bit of both.

You can never stick to the OP..It has to change into a slagging match over something very different so it suits you and no one else..Then you try and get out of it by calling us mardy...The same mardiness we showed

A flippant reply to a sincere request concerning a serious issue.

    Poor behaviour from aussie.

I can't recall hearing about the incident and there's nothing online?

IF it happened, then I'll gladly discuss it (although not sure what it has to do with the thread).

Like Roth, I'll talk about anything but, when it's in response to an obvious swipe at our club I'm not so interested...just being honest.

This swiping is becoming a bit of a habit now with you, which is a bit annoying because you do actually have a brain in your head which I respect.

I enquired about a news story involving Carlton Palmer reported by the Star and Radio Sheffield. You and braggy unfathomably got upset by this.

    Nowt more than that aussie.

    Spot on.

Katch is on par with GHO for the constant stream of negative spin with no real facts to back it up. Not sure why they are so similar...
