The operational board, is the football club board (Carlisle United Association Football Club (1921) Limited), that Board of Directors will be made up as it initially was, but with an extra seat for a fan representative, the new MD, the new Sales and Marketing Director and a Finance Director. Leaving that board (I understand) will be Nixon, Jenkins, Pattison and the Trust. This is so the clowns have a certain amount of deniability.

That company, as you know, is controlled (because of the shareholding) by Knighton Holdings, the board of which is going to be Nixon, Jenkins, Pattison (I presume) and a trust member. This is so they have ultimate control of the whole thing.

Of course what that means is that ultimately all strategic decisions are taken by the Holding Company board, and it is supposed to mean that the operational decisions are taken by the football club board. The reality is that is not at all what is likely to
