I believe it was time for Davis to go at least 12 months ago. He obviously has no man management skills and it looks like the players have no faith in his tactics or game plans.
If Davis is not out of Gresty Road by Monday taking most of our tribe of so called coaches with him the the Chairman should come out and make a full statement to the fans detailing why he is still in post and giving us some simple and honest insight into the clubs financial state.
Act now before it really is too late.

    He wont!
Members of this board are not interested in football. Under their watch, CAFC has been stripped of all fixed assets and new companies set up ie Commercial Enterprises. It is my opinion that they are content to let the situation carry on at minimum outlay until such time that the assets can be realised ie the demise of CAFC.

SD won't be replaced unless we get to Christmas and still haven't won with a crowd of approx 1000 watching (mostly away supporters).

As Fidler said - get the defence sorted, whether personnel or tactics, get us hard to beat and then look to score afterwards. Simple, if the opposition don't score, you don't lose.

All we hear is finances, ask Rochdales manager how he manages to get a decent team together with next to nothing...... Sick and tired of excuses.

The issue is player management. Steve Davis has never been able to motivate his group of players. The players are good enough, they were last year (despite what he might say), but SD is simply not able to galvanise the discretionary effort and confidence that is needed to win games. If you read his post match comments, the guy appears to be devoid of ideas on how to turnaround the current situation. SD has enjoyed tremendous support from the Crewe board and good backing on loans and player recruitment. The buck stops with him and he is accountable for the results. In any other job, he would have walked the plank long ago.

One thing from the last two matches - when the subs were made, nobody seemed to know where to play or what to do. It seemed that they were school yard football - everybody runs around chasing the ball.

Steve's substitutions never seem to work. Leaving two out of the three midfielders on (King & Fox last week, King & Atkinson yesterday), just leaves the team so much more open, with four attacking players ahead of them. Yesterday, with Millwall stopping Crewe playing it from deep and through, some combination involving Haber might've engaged the opposition more? Three centre-backs and wing backs doesn't necessarily mean less passing football; there were two centre-backs on the bench from which to choose, and to set the full-backs free.
During the summer we heard a fair bit about changing the style to 'suit our own', and it being for the benefit of George Cooper in particular; yet he has only had a few cameos in which to make an impression, whilst from what little we saw of Wilson, he seems an identikit player. It's odd.
Colclough does some immensely impressive things in each game, but I can't help but feel that he needs to be nearer the goal; his tricks would at least draw some fouls
