    I reckon that is gospel, especially if we get a Canaan at Hull. Let's pray we win and that will be a testament to his true credentials as a manager. There is plenty of spirit in the team at present. Let's hope they come to pass, otherwise we won't have a prayer of winning if they put asunder pressure.

    No one respects the Sabbath anymore. I can't imagine nowadays men standing on the shoreline in their best Sunday suits watching a ship carrying a cargo of whiskey floundering on the rocks. Hardly anyone obeys the Ten Commandments and very few love thy neighbour. Christmas is all about consumerism, yet people cling to this dying religion which was blown apart by Charles Darwin especially when other religions are flung in their faces. Our native religion was not Christianity which was introduced to this country by Roman missionaries. The Ancient Britons like those from Scandinavia and the native peoples of America respected Nature and the natural stability of the World we inhabit.

    To be fair and accurate, we are not being told this or that or the other. In this case it is the cinema chains which are saying they will not be showing this advert on their premises. Businesses take this stance because they believe that by showing the advert it could effect takings which is all that matters to them. So if you've really got a grievance just instead of stirring up racial issues just boycott your local cinema for a while

    Has the law changed, or is it just the looney left stating you can't fly the flag of St George in your own front garden?

    You can fly
    (a) Any country’s national flag, civil ensign or civil air ensign;
    (b) The flag of the Commonwealth, the European Union, the United Nations or any other international organisation of which the United Kingdom is a member;
    (c) A flag of any island, county, district, borough, burgh, parish, city, town or village within the United Kingdom;
    (d) The flag of the Black Country, East Anglia, Wes***, any Part of Lincolnshire, any Riding of Yorkshire or any historic county within the United Kingdom;
    (e) The flag of Saint David;
    (f) The flag of Saint Patrick;
    (g) The flag of any administrative area within any country outside the United Kingdom;

    Not flying the flag is very different to not wearing a poppy. The flag .... Well Saint George's is just proud of your country unless some idiot starts brandishing is with Britain first or the like. Then it's has a different meaning.

    Poppy wearing is completely different. When it was for the world wars it was one thing but now it's rebranded and includes numerous illegal wars we've been involved in or invading other countries when we didn't have to. The two should have been kept separate and o can understand why some groups disparage that.

    Not heard about the lords prair being offensive.

    Another label which gives unthinking people something on which to stick their prejudices to. Just keep to the argument and cut out the insulting adjectives.

    The conflict in Iraq was illegal and it's the country where IS originated filling the vacuum which was created when we and the US left plus a vast cache of arms which makes them one of the best armed groups in the area.

    Donating money for a poppy is nothing to do with supporting or not supporting so called illegal wars. It's a way of raising money for people injured while fighting for this country and showing respect for others killed in the wars. I know no one is forced to go into the services and that they do get paid but not many on this board can begin to imagine the horror of seeing your mates blown to pieces. Others may say we do not need any defence personnel but this country would be in a very sad state without them.

    You are all forgetting, that war is money, big bucks!! If you believe the conspiracy theories, that those in control, delibrately go to war, mess with the internal politics, leave that country in a mess, then you wont be far wrong. Libya, afghan, Iraq (twice), all those african countries on the horn of africa. I was in I
