    EBT Beneficiaries

No wonder they went broke - even the dross was on huge salaries - see link from BBC

Still some weird things went on even aside from the EBT. Remember those dawn raids by plod at ibrox. Boumsong was sold to Newcastle (another dawn raid venue), and Graeme Souness, despite no longer being at Rangers, was paid using an EBT. Summat rum about all that methinks - view external link

They really are a nest of crooks and criminals. Thieves the lot of them.
An utter disgrace that this despicable organisation hasn't been eradicated permanently and its vile expunged from every trophy they have tainted with their presence.
    Disgusting.

To be fair, they were only cheating with the undeclared salaries for about 8 years (2001-2009) - you can't condemn all who played and won trophies with them. Admittedly their arrogance even after being caught red-handed doesn't endear them any further to others who may have thought they were competing against Rangers on a level playing pitch.

Had there been such shennanegans down south in relation to guys at other clubs receiving undeclared payments, and the FA involved in an attempted coverup I think there'd be much more about it in the media.

The media still do reporting on the Ibrox club how it's been robbed and pillaged since..............2011, the main fall guy criminal characters in they're stories are messr white and astley, the Teflon chairman still escapes any finger pointing whatsoever. If that was in Italy the Teflon chairman would have been *bleep*g out to dry because of his shenanigans.

The more I read about the cheating club, the more I detest them.

I don't pretend to understand the fineries of the tax system, and I know that juninho was paid with one in 2004/5 included in his wages until someone at Celtic knew it might be a bit dodgy and repaid any outstanding taxes, so why didn't the hvns take the same action?

Outside of the hvns, HMRC are pursuing individuals for use of similar schemes, rather than the scheme owners. So why did the courts in Scotland rule that it's the employer who is responsible. If that decision is overturned in the Supreme Court, the likes of Barry Ferguson will be facing a huge bill. That'll be a shame.

Either they weren't as well advised or they're a more nefarious bunch than the Celtic Board. Simples

    re: EBT Beneficiaries

rangers in any shape or form have had ample time to repay the EBT,s, so have the players, and david dodgy erse murray had ample time to call in the "loans" that rangers claim the EBT,s were.

even now rangers could pay the EBT bill. the fact is theyve never had any intention and used the scheme to cheat just to win a few extra domestic trophies that some of they might have won anyway.

david dodgy murray could have called in these "loans" when it became apparent rangers would only be sold for a pound cos nae cnunt would want the EBT thingy to deal with, so murrays choice was to sell out to a charlaton just so rangers could keep a few dodgy titles they cheated for.

any good businessman would have called in the loans from the players if they could, maybe he couldnt and not all ahs been revealed about the terms of these "loan" repayments.
