The situation's not a mess. I've just read Lambert's comments. Rhodes will know that Lambert had to say things to pacify the fans about the move. Also what is good, is that the cat is out of the bag that he's up for a move. The cat's also out of the back that we have a pretty crap team that needs a huge rebuild. If it's off, I'm sure Rhodes will up his game for a move in the summer. The downside is that to maintain his value, he'll have to be the 1st on the team sheet every week, even though he's only part of the present and not in the plans for the future. That said. Newcastle need him to stay up

Until them, Rhodes' goals can continue to paper over the cracks. Unless Newcastle wake up and take this opportunity with both hands.

Loaning him would be bad for selling him for daft cash. I guess it's all about playing him and hoping his shooting boots stay on, or flog him for daft money in the next 32 hours to anyone that needs a goal scorer.

Rhodes being loaned out is not beneficial to us unless we get someone on loan in return and of course they take on his hefty wages.

But what if we are left with someone who is on an alleged £40000 a week
we don't have the luxury to have him say in the reserves
if I were in charge I would tap him up to a struggling prem team for 8 mil we won't lose out in paying huddersfield and we have got rid of a expensive player who no longer wants to be here
I would not entertain Boro anymore
Gibson can go back after McCormack while moaning to the media how Rhodes wanted far to much upsetting him further going into a game with.....that's right boro
