In my opinion we only have around half a dozen players in the entire squad who are worthy of a shirt and could possibly hack it in the PL if we ever get there. Shooting from the hip I'd say Carson, Christie, Butterfield, Hughes with Olsson and Hendrick at a push. Thorne has not developed in the past 12 months, Johnson has become an expensive flop in the mould of Clod and Earnshaw and don't even get me started about the wingers. The best winger on show today was a loanee who can't get in the Sheffield Wednesday team.

Carson ? Looks well off to me. Cemented to his line for most of the time. Think keogh is good enough though. But would suggest Olsen again not good enough for this division never mind the next. Can't cross well enough to be a winger and can't defend well enough for a full back

Keogh worthy of a shirt as he is 100% committed but I'm not so sure about the step up in class. Whatever the outcome a major clear out I'd required in the summer

For me Shackell has seemed slow and too laid back in recent matches.

But how do we tell the effect of poor management, team selection and tactics on how players perform? Priority must be getting the management sorted with a coach who has ideas and knows what he wants ( and the will to select on that basis) rather than what we have had this season.

Agree 100%. Team should be picked on merit not price tag. ie Johnson & to a lesser degree Thorne over Hanson against Wolves

I agree,I feel that these "over inflated "price tags have got to the players to the point that they believe they are better than they are and only have to turn up to win......

This appears true in terms of the players but way off the mark in terms of end result.
