Thread: Harry Redknapp in talks with Derby

Clearly the manager we want in the long term is not available yet and this is a short term stab at saving the season. Better to try this then appoint a new 'long term' manager that isn't the preferred choice. I actually think its worth a crack - but only as MANAGER, we have to get Wassall away from any decision making to stand any chance.

Director of Football sounds pretty permanent to me. It is a made up title to meddle with team affairs but not get the blame.

Morris needs to go and see his doctor. There is something wrong with his head :/

I don't have any problem with him being appointed as long as no-one gives him the key to Mel's millions to waste on some even worse and more expensive flops than the last 12 months have seen.

It's an odd and unpredictible twist if it does happen
Agree Rattster, all over the internet, its saying good old harry in talks with being DoF at derby, if thats any consolation.

heck! Hope Roger doesn't know where you live or you will be done for slander! Roger does not half the wit or breadth of intellectual capability that our Ratty has. Plus who else but rat can deliver such a mature approach to a debate?

Bizarre, I'd almost prefer Paul Ince at least he wouldn't require millions and bankrupt the club.

This is very odd news indeed, never rated the guy far too much of a clever ****ney for me - theres any number of decent interim managers out there and one or two very good ones (Pearson) who would be ideal as permanent appointment.
